We were very fortunate that this year 4 local people took part in the London Marathon to raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice. The Flora London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event in the world and we were very fortunate that Ian Walker, Lesley English, Howard Graves and Dr Dan Golding trained really hard and then successfully completed the 26 mile course.

All the runners were supported by Help the Hospices who provided running vests and practical support during and after the event.

Together the runners raised an amazing £15857 with Ian Walker from Dalton in Furness and his team raising a staggering £11735. We wish to thank them all for working so hard and for supporting St Mary’s. You are amazing.
