St Mary’s Hospice is an independent charity funded by voluntary donations. It costs in the region of £2 million each year to run current hospice services of which the hospice has to raise £1.8 million. It is only through the generosity of local people that the hospice is able to keep providing its vital services.

What is the St Mary's Hospice Lottery?
The lottery was established in 1998 to support the work of the hospice. The lottery currently has over 8,000 playing members and has become a major source of hospice funding.

How does the lottery work?
The lottery runs on a secure computer software program, specially designed for the purpose. Each new player is given a unique draw number, randomly generated by the computer. A draw takes place every Friday and the winners are randomly selected by the computer. All prizes are won each week, there are no roll-overs.

What are the prizes?
The top prize is £1,000 and there are 32 other valuable cash prizes.

---

How much does it cost to play?
It only costs £1 a week to play our lottery and you stand a chance of winning up to £1,000.

Where does my £1 go?
All profits go directly to supporting the hospice in providing specialist medical and nursing care for local people suffering from serious progressive illnesses. Every penny counts and you know you are making a difference.
